The Power of the Word

A great word to start this series off with is ‘should’.

Should is a word filled with judgemental energy.  How many of us cringe at the word ‘should’.  It has been used to create a directive, duty and criticism.  It’s filled with a sense of control when coming from another. When it’s from ourselves and to ourselves it can create a feeling of not being good enough.   It may create a feeling of a missed opportunity and it keeps us in the past.

Spend a week noticing the ‘shoulds’ in your life - from those around you and from yourself to yourself or to others.  Reframe your talk.  Stop ‘should’ing’ and stop others from ‘should’ing’ on you.

See how it feels to no longer have that word in your vocabulary,

Small gradual changes can lead to big things!
